Every UK Limited Company requires a registered office address. This is where all official post will be sent. Scotland and Northern Ireland must have an address in their respective countries whereas England and Wales can choose to have theirs in either of the two.
It is common to use your home address, but many companies opt for a registered address for anonymity, to get a high profile address such as a London registered address, or simply a UK address if living abroad.
If opting for a registered address, make sure all official post gets forwarded to you as you wouldn’t want to miss important correspondence from Companies House or the Inland Revenue and risk your company being stroke off.
