What is the minimum number of officers required by a company requires?

Private limited companies: The Companies Act 2006 requires a private company to have at least one director who must be an individual person and must be aged over 16 years of age.

It is not mandatory for  a private company to have a company secretary required by the company's articles of association. However many private companies still prefer to have a company secretary.

Public limited companies: A public company must have at least two directors and a secretary. As with private companies at least one director who must be an individual person and must be aged over 16 years of age. Is it mandatory for public companies to have a company secretary who must be qualified.
